But what was most in the spotlight at the palace was undoubtedly the beautiful trophy from the Belgrade Grand Prix of 1939, which was won by the racing champion Tazio Nuvolari and presented to him that year on the occasion of the birthday of King Peter II of Yugoslavia (the trophy was on loan from the Nuvolari Museum in Mantova, courtesy of Motor Heritage Consulting, ACI Mantova and Scuderia Nuvolari).

Another special highlight in Belgrade was the presence of a beautiful formula racing car, the 1947 CISITALIA D47 from the famous Collezione Lopresto, which was the last car driven by Tazio Nuvolari at Monte Carlo in 1948, which perfectly matched the occasion of the Belgrade Grand Prix’s anniversary.
